6. Dubai Opera's 10th Anniversary Gala
This coming weekend will see Dubai Opera turn ten, and to celebrate its decade, it's putting on a gala event that combines classical music, dancing, and opera – just what the 2026-27 season needs for a grand start. Dress code is expected to be formal, making this the right choice if you're looking for an actual date evening instead of casual weekend entertainment. I would make sure to reserve seats in advance.

7. Lost in Shanghai Brunch

There is a sensational night at the Dubai Opera. 9. Abu Dhabi International Book Fair
The 35th edition of ADIBF runs across six days at ADNEC, opening this Sunday and continuing through September 18. It's the biggest literary event in the region — roughly 1,500 events, exhibitors from 95 countries, six stages of talks and sessions, and this year's focus personality is Al-Khalil ibn Ahmad Al-Farahidi, the scholar behind the first Arabic dictionary. If you only have Sunday, go early: author sessions and signings tend to draw queues by early afternoon.

If I had to choose one thing, it's Soul of Cavo ft. Twins on Saturday. Business Bay's nightlife scene has gotten competitive this year, and Cavo consistently delivers on both the music and the room itself; the crowd actually dances. Pair it with the Breasy wellness morning earlier that day at Xclusive Yachts, and you've got a Saturday that starts with breathwork on the water and ends on a dancefloor, which is about as good a Dubai weekend as it gets.
